Behind the Wheel Pickup Locations
- Home pickup for the behind the wheel training is available to all students who live within the city limits of Janesville.
- Pickup locations for students outside the Janesville city limits include:

- Parker High School
- Craig High School
- Lions Quick Mart on Hwy 14
- Citgo Gas Station on Court Street
- Eclipse Center in Beloit
ADDITIONAL SESSIONS MAY BE AVAILABLE
Classes meet 15 times for 2 hours each session. If possible, no classes will be held when school is not in session (during the school year).
Teenage Driver Education Course is 42 hours. It includes 30 hours of classroom instruction and 12 hours of behind the wheel instruction that is a required by the state of Wisconsin to complete Driver Education under the age of 18. Teenagers can enroll as early as 15 years of age. Classroom training is only valid for 13 months, then a 10 hour refresher course is required to get your license. You can get your permit when you turn 15 1/2. If you do not start class within 60 days of getting your permit, your permit will be cancelled. Proof of re-enrollment, proof of sponsorship, a new application signed by the driving school and a fee of $50 payable to The Department of Motor Vehicles will be needed to get it back. You do have an option of voluntarily surrendering your permit if you do not start class within 60 days. Proof of re-enrollment, proof of sponsorship, a new application signed by the driving school and a duplicate fee is required to get it back. Important to remember, you need to complete Driver Education and have your permit for 6 months before you go for your driver's license road test. (Call for details.)
